Social Networking in the Classroom
The goal of a teacher is to figure out a way to teach students in the most effective way while keeping them interested and focused. Therefore, the integration of social media into the classroom has been a hot topic for many teachers recently. It's true that students spend a great amount of time on these websites at home, so finding a way to bring them into the classroom would probably be a teacher's dream. As a student, it would be interesting to see how they accomplished this but nothing is impossible.
I've seen how some teachers have made up assignments to resemble Facebook, but Twitter seems to be the "it" thing now. I'd love to see how a teacher could do something with that.

Paying Tribute
Early this morning, February 27th, Heights lost another Falcon. Assistant Principal Ms. LaPorte will be remembered for her dedication to Heights High as an administrator, a role model, and a friend. Sorrow has fallen over the school today, but it is important to cherish her contributions and achievements as well as be thankful for her life. Memorial services will be held in the auditorium on Saturday starting at noon. It is asked that attendants wear orange and black in honor of her love of OSU.
