Drama goes Greek

The first two plays at Heights will be The Seuss Odyssey and The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza.

Volleyball season: off to a good start

Gary Thomason, head volleyball coach, said that his job here at Heights is rewarding yet challenging at the same time.

JROTC cadets are especially excited this month because they get the chance to experience flying in a real aircraft under the supervision of a trained pilot. The group of kids include Jacob Addis 10, Katie Edelman 12, Alan Garrett 10, and Gemmy Hebrman 11 of Wichita Heights High School. The cadets are split up into two groups. The first group went up on September 7th. The second group later went up on September the 14th.

Superfans add spirit; fun

Superfans wear cowboy hats for the football game with North High. The superfan tradition is as much a part of the Falcon tradition as winning sports teams.

Ellis picks KU

Perry Ellis at 2:45 this afternoon, after thanking his family and all the people that helped him come to a decision, announced where he will be attending college. Ellis will be attending Kansas University in the fall of 2012 and playing basketball for coach Bill Self. Ellis said he "felt like KU was meant to be." He also made the comment that KU was was far enough to get away, but it was still close enough to come home.
