Another Win for the Falcons

Written by Shelby Burns

Heights played Northwest on September 30th at 7 o’clock. The game ended in favor of the Falcons 41-21.

The first time the falcons have ever been down against another team, was in the first quarter against the Grizzlies, when heights missed a field goal and were down 7-6. The game shortly turned around, and the Falcons had another touchdown, followed by a two-point conversion. The falcons by halftime were up 21-7. Kenneth Iheme was definitely one of the main players of Friday’s game.
During the fourth quarter, Northwest player Bennett Moore was hit unconscious, to later find out it was a stinger He was unconscious for quite awhile, while players from both schools took a knee, and fans waited anxiously to see if he’s alright. The stadium was almost quiet in respect of the player.
When it was time to play once again, the Falcons ended with a twenty-point win over the Grizzlies.

Heights goes Pink

Written by Taylor Moseley

Heights participated in Breast Cancer Awareness month at the Heights football game vs. East on Thursday, October 13th. Some players wore pink socks, shoe laces, and gloves. The super fan section was filled with pink clothes, face paint, hats, shoes, etc. And the flag team girls each wore a pink ribbon in their hair. The night of pink included Heights being ahead 42-0 at the half, and 62-0 at the end. The game was a great way to end the first nine weeks of school, a good night for the seniors as Senior Night, and a good way to spread Breast Cancer Awareness.
