Falcon Cheer; Preparing for the New Year

Written by Krystal Bradley

This season the varsity cheerleaders went to a Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) camp hosted by Butler County Community College in June. They returned home with two superior trophies and multiple blue ribbons. Cheer camp is about team building and finding out what the team’s limits are.

Several members on the team received individual awards, such as the All American team. Who is on the team is based on a tryout in front of the campers, coaches, and judges. The squad members that made the team include seniors Larissa Tucker, Lauren Cox, and Krystal Bradley.

Also, seniors Lauren Cox and Krystal Bradley received a UCA offer – a chance to be a UCA instructor. Lastly, senior Krystal Bradley received a “Pin it forward” award. It’s about being a cheerleader outside of cheerleading.
