An important goal of Heights High School teachers is to prepare students for the future. Some students are not thinking ahead for careers out of high school and/or out of college. With the economy going down the drain, the future of America, and America’s economy relies on what this generation of students do with their life.

Instead of focusing on getting classes with friends, students should focus on classes that will prepare and help with the future. High school students should try and think of jobs that are not being exported or outsourced to China, India, etc. Jobs like lawyers, doctors, and many others recquire being sent to places like India and China. Lawyers used to be able to make a large portion of their money through helping write wills, now that can be done online and lawyers, from maybe even China, can assist you on writing your will.

There are many jobs available that have no danger of being outsourced from America. Jobs like a Dental assistant and a Physical Therapy Aide or any other kind of therapy job. A pharmacy technician and fitness professional are jobs that are kept in America. A teacher aide or a child day care manager is the job for a kid-loving student, that can't be sent to China. An auto repair technician, a small engine repairer, a HVAC technician, that is someone who works on the AC and heating, a motorcycle repair technician, or a diesel mechanic are other available jobs. There are also careers available in veterinary fields like a dog trainer, a pet groomer, or a vet assistant. Many jobs are available to make careers out of, that students don’t think to prepare for in high school. Even students who do think ahead, and try to prepare as much as they can may not think about what jobs are being outsourced to other places.
